Many of the curent IFR GPS approvals will not be valid after 14th November 2013.
RNAV (Aera Navigation) and RNP (Required Navigation Performance) Operational Approvals will take over from many of the old SIDs and STARs. GPS (or GNSS) used for RNAV and RNP will probably need to be upgraded to WAAS capable systems.
Talk to us today about the suitability of your existing GPS system. Many systems can be upgraded to WAAS at very little cost. Talk to us before purchasing any new or second hand avionics to make sure you aren't buying a redundant system.
Also talk to us about other certification issues like Electrical Load Analysis (ELA), Minimum Equipment Lists (MEL) and Instructions for Continued Airworthines (ICA). All of this will be required to form part of your Operational Approval Application.
Note: South Pacific Avionics does not issue approvals, but we can help take the confusion out of the application. Approvals are issued by the NZCAA.
