Audio+Intercom
Audio Panels and Intercoms are the hub of an aircrafts avionics suite.
The important thing to consider here is: "What am I going to need in the future?"
For now you might be happy with just one VHF Comm and want a 4 Place Intercom like the PM501. But what happens when you want to add another comm? Or a Cellphone? Then you will need an Audio Panel, most audio panels come with a built in intercom, so... are you going to be happy about removing the intercom you have recently installed?
Chances are that the audio panel wouldn't have cost that much more to install than an intercom. Have a look at an Audio Panel like the GMA340 or PMA8000 before making any decisions.
