Single Engine Heli IFR

The Aircraft Electronics Association (AEA), along with the Helicopter Industry Assdociation (HIA), the American Helicopter Society (AHSI) and the General Aviation Manufacturers Association (GAMA) have submitted a proposal for Part 27 helicopter single engine IFR approvals to the FAA.  The submission was made in June 2015.  Since then, many other manufacturers and organisations, including Cool City Avionics, have added their support.  Read the proposal document here and watch this space for the outcome.  If successful, the door will be open for using rotorcraft like the Bell 206 Jet Ranger and many others for inexpensive IFR helicopter trainers.
