UPDATE:  DUAL CONTROL HEADS NOW POSSIBLE.
This is perfect for tandem seat aircraft and many warbirds.  A single comm transceiver and a TC90 control head in both cockpits.  The cost is considerably less than a second comm, and both the instructor and student can see what frequency is in use.
 

The Trig TY91 VHF Comm is fully certified for Level 1 and 2 operation.  It is a small, lightweight, remote controlled option for installations where a conventional panel mount or rack mount comm just won't fit.

The control head is a very similar size and shape to the old Terra TX760 series, this might be a good alternative to repairing your old Terra comm.  It is also an ideal replacement for an Xcom, Trimble  or Microair 2.25 inch comm.
