Marc Wesseling Marc served his avionics aprenticeship with Bruce at Motor Holdings (Now Flightline) in the 1980s. He had a break from Avionics for a few years but is back now and has brought with him a wealth of experience from outside aviation.

Phil Hutchings Phil joined SPA in June 2020 as our Business Development Manager. He has been tasked with identifying areas within aviation that are lacking in avionics support. Steve Rowe Steve started as a trainee in 2008. He is now a very competent engineer capable of repairing most avionics equipment.

John Ralph John has been part of the team since 2007. He has been instrumental in setting up much of the instrument overhaul and calibration systems. John's hobbies include fishing and woodwork. Roy Rhodin Roy joined SPA in 2018 as an adult trainee - instrument and calibration. His background in automotive engineering and transport have served him well in the transition to a smaller and more delicate trade.

Sandor Forian
Avionics Engineer Sandor has worked for SPA since the mid 90's. In his homeland of Hungary he was responsible for the maintenance of a large RADAR system, this experience has given him a unique approach to problem solving that usually pays off. Despite being a little hard to understand when he gets excited, he is a master on avionics repair and there isn't much he can't fix.

Ben Lane
Ben Joined SPA in 2016 as a calibration engineer. He has since found his calling in avionics installations. Ben gets great satsifaction from turning out installation work that looks like it was done on the manufacturer's production line.

Ryan Ryder
Ryan's a Nelson local who started his career with HNZ in 2008. He has traveled extensively and worked on a variety of fixed wing and rotary aircraft. He brings a real sense of humor with him. Ryan takes care of the top half of the South Island.

Evan Harris
Evan is an aircraft engineer and an aviation enthusiast. He own's his own aircraft and holds a multitude of rating in both avionics and mechanical trades. When he's not fixing or flying aircraft, he's mucking about in the bush or climbing mountains. (obviously we need to work him harder)

Lloyd Gallacher
Lloyd Gallacher has been in the Avionics business since 1988 and has held many manager positions at some of South Africa’s major avionic companies and also owned his own Avionics company and did work as far as Kenya. Lloyd also holds three NZQA Level 6 Certificates for Aeronautical maintenance Engineering Radio, Electrical and Instruments. Lloyd has a vast amount of experience on a wide range of rotary wing and fixed wing aircraft.

Brent Weber
Brent started his career in 2004 as an apprentice at an airline and has worked for many large aviation companies. Brent has experience on a wide range of helicopters and fixed wing aircraft including business jets and narrow bodied passenger aircraft.
